Strategy

StoneWorks is an initiative, not an organization. It is a catalyst to empower other leaders, artists, and existing organizations to pursue a fresh vision and to be a transformative voice in the church and the culture. Encouraging partnership is a key part of the StoneWorks mission and strategy. By working together, organizations can make a greater impact than if they operated in isolation from one another. Through collaborative relationships, Christian arts leaders can generate fresh and innovative ideas, share resources and therefore steward them more efficiently, multiply their impact for the kingdom of God, and demonstrate the unity of the Body of Christ.

StoneWorks carries out its mission in four ways:

1.  Leadership Forums: Bringing together leaders and emerging leaders in various artistic fields, spheres of activity, and parts of the world through summits and seminars. At these gatherings, participants engage in dialogue to find places of common vision, identify needs, and brainstorm new local, national, and international culture-making initiatives.

2.  Mentorship and Consultancy: Mentoring leaders and serving as a consultant for organizations and local churches that want to engage the arts in a meaningful way.

3.  Communication and Networking: Facilitating cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary communication and networking individual artists and arts organizations through the StoneWorks website and quarterly e-zine MOSAIC.

4.  Resource Development: Identifying existing resources and developing, or encouraging the development of, new print, electronic, or web-based resources.

  1. Mildred Mitchmore says:

I have a background in applied visual art and in theology. I feel that God is calling me to use my art in a way that with prayer helps bring healing. I am a missionary heading soon to Africa. I would like information or contacts of others who have used visual art in this manner. Thank you.
    In Christ,
    Millie Mitchmore
