We welcome submissions that celebrate examples of artistic excellence and news of people and initiatives that embody the goals and focal areas of StoneWorks (see the “About StoneWorks” section of the site). Please note that StoneWorks has a very strong global emphasis. Articles must go beyond local interest; what encouragement, information, or resources will this story offer to a reader on the other side of the world?
Any material posted on the StoneWorks website also has the potential of being published in the free quarterly e-zine MOSAIC. The goal of MOSAIC, like the website, is to facilitate relationships between artists, churches, and organizations around the world, to highlight arts-related news and events, and to celebrate creative ventures in StoneWorks’ four areas of focus: the church, the marketplace, the academy, and the mission field. The intended audience includes Christians engaged in the arts (as visual artists, musicians, actors, dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, writers, etc.), mission leaders, leaders of arts organizations and national or international arts networks, pastors, teachers, and campus ministry leaders working with arts students at colleges and universities. The e-zine is distributed quarterly via email as a PDF attachment.
Both the StoneWorks website and MOSAIC are intended to be visual compelling as well as informative; therefore, we seek high-quality photographs and artwork to accompany the articles.
Here are some of the categories in which we seek submissions:
- Artist profiles
- Interviews with individual artists, culture makers, or organization leaders
- News and reports “from the field” about creative initiatives in the church, the academy, the marketplace, or missions
- Thought-provoking essays about the arts that exemplify some aspect of StoneWorks’ goals and vision
- Book recommendations of recent or classic arts-related books for general readers (this is more casual and conversational in tone than a formal “book review”)
- Needs and Opportunities: If you are leader of a church, educational institution, ministry, or arts organization, this is a place where you can advertise your arts-related need or opportunity and connect with interested Christians working in the arts. (We reserve the right not to post something that we feel does not fit our goals or audience.)
- Artlinks: Brief notices about resources, podcasts, videos, and articles elsewhere on the Internet that would be of interest to our audience.
Length of articles typically varies from 500 to 1500 words. To submit material for consideration, email stoneworksjt@gmail.com. Please include in your email information about yourself and your background in the arts.
Because StoneWorks is non-profit and most of our material is offered free of charge, we cannot offer payment for articles.

I just have a quick question. How do I find someone to review the two Christian books I have? One is poetry, the other is a fiction novel. Thank you.
Thank you for your interest. At the moment we are not reviewing new fiction and poetry.
