How can the arts uniquely unlock the truths of the gospel for a new generation? In 1997, Jeremy Begbie launched the “Theology Through the Arts” project “to show how the arts of our time can help us discover and explore afresh the riches of the Christian faith.” Both a theologian and a musician, Begbie is currently the Thomas A. Langford Research Professor of Theology at Duke Divinity School and an affiliated lecturer in the Faculties of Divinity and Music in the University of Cambridge. He has lectured widely in the U.K., North America, and South Africa, and has edited and authored numerous articles and books, including most recently Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music (Baker/SPCK), which won the 2008 Christianity Today Book Award in Theology/Ethics.

In these two presentations, he explains some of the insights music brings to theology and Christian leadership.
